Live in Chelsea
What a show we had at The Pheasantry in Chelsea!
It's a charming intimate venue that's a regular haunt for cabaret goers. Performing that night, we had Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Adam Robert Lewis and, producer, Claire Delaney with Harry Haden-Brown as MD. The programme was Sondheim-tastic which the audience lapped up - thankfully! You never know how Sondheim sets are going to go down as you either love it or hate it. The night saw duets from Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd, providing comedic relief from heartfelt moments and dramatic pieces. Adam sang Music of the Night from The Phantom of the Opera to a very attentive audience and wowed with his interpretation. It won't be long before he plays the title role and makes his mark firmly on the West End stage. I'm very glad that we get to witness moments like this! Stephen got all nostalgic with his rendition of The Journey Home from the musical Bombay Dreams, a part he knows very well indeed after playing it both on the West End and on Broadway. We had some hilarious moments on stage and the team were wonderful to work with - I'm sure I'll get them all together again soon!
